Birrenkott Surveying was established in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin in 1987 and has been serving the entire state of Wisconsin since that time. Its founder, Dan Birrenkott, is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor and a certified soil tester with 46 years of experience. Our highly-trained staff is ready and willing to help you with all of your surveying and Perc testing needs.

Our company is comprised of 9 dedicated employees, two of whom are licensed Professional Land Surveyors: Daniel Birrenkott and Mark Pynnonen. By using the latest surveying equipment, GPS receivers, and AutoCAD software, we are able to provide the services you need to help make your project a success. For more than 30 years, Birrenkott Surveying, Inc. has been meeting the needs of its clients throughout the State of Wisconsin.

Our client base includes architects, municipalities, park and school districts, churches, utility companies, developers, builders, civil engineers, attorneys, and private individuals. We will provide a list of client references to you upon request.

Surveying is an important service, but not everyone knows the whats, whens, whys and hows.
We hope to make this easier to understand.
A property survey describes, maps, and locates land ownership boundaries and corners, features and improvements.
Land and its improvements are a major financial investment; therefore, all land ownership boundaries should be located, monumented and mapped by a property survey and filed as a public record.
It all begins with a phone call or personal visit to Birrenkott Surveying, Inc.
A land survey is performed by a registered land surveyor for the purpose of describing, monumenting and mapping the boundaries and corners of a parcel of land.
It may also include the design and layout of new lots and streets, the determination of the physical features of the land parcel, and the location of the buildings and other improvements upon the land.
The surveyor must interpret the intention of the deed and other pertinent documents.
The cost of a survey is based on the time required to obtain the necessary information of record, to make the field survey of facts as they exist on the ground, to perform the required office computations leading to a plat or map of the findings, and to monument the lines on the ground.
