The New Hampshire Land Surveyors Association exists to promote the profession of surveying, mapping, land information systems and related fields to support the advancement of technologies, and to help ensure that these professional activities provide for the safety and welfare of the general public. NHLSA members include licensed land surveyors and their employees, land information practitioners, students, and others with special interest in or knowledge of the profession of land surveying.

The Association views the surveyor as a professional who has the academic qualifications and technical expertise to practice the sciences of measuring and mapping as well as making boundary judgments; who uses this knowledge responsibly to help plan and implement the efficient management of land, waters, structures and improvements; and who takes into account legal, economic, environmental and social issues relevant to the practice.

Sponsor educational and informational activities and publications both for ourselves and the general public.
Services
To encourage all surveyors licensed in New Hampshire to join and participate in the Association.
To strengthen relationships by encouraging all land use professionals and those in related disciplines to join and participate in the Association.
To encourage membership in other state and national professional associations, such as the National Society of Professional Surveyors.
To maintain and improve communication and relationships within our profession, as well as with related disciplines and the general public.
PRESIDENT: Supervised all business and affairs of the Association, presides at director meetings, presides at membership meetings; signs legal documents for the Association when authorized by Directors; ex-officio on all committees; determine duties of President-Elect; delivers annual report to Association regarding condition of Association and achievements of Association in the past year.
PRESIDENT-ELECT: Performs the duties of the President in the absence or inability of the President; fills office of President and serves until election of officers at Annual Meeting; assists Vice President in preparing for the Annual Meeting.
The NHLSA Young Surveyors Network is just getting its feet on the ground and we appreciate the fact that you may be interested in helping, supporting and just being a part of it.
We are excited to see what we can accomplish together and the benefits we will bring to the surveying profession in our State and our future.
The NHLSA Young Surveyors Network is modeled after the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) Young Surveyors Network.
Our aim is to establish a statewide network of Young Surveyors within NHLSA and its affiliate organizations.
The New Hampshire Land Surveyors Association strives to support the profession and its members by creating a professional environment in which to operate through the following activities:.
Sponsor educational and informational activities and publications both for ourselves and the general public.
Work with legislative and administrative units of government to provide information, testimony, and other support in matters relating to land surveying.
2. Two issues per year of The Benchmark, the professional magazine of the NH Land Surveyors association, with news and opinion pieces from surveyors in New Hampshire and New England.
The New Hampshire Land Surveyors Foundation (NHLSF), a companion organization to NHLSA, exists for the purpose of managing several endowments which provide scholarships to students and aid to educational facilities which promote the profession.
Equipment: to make occasional grants to educational facilities needing updated field equipment or digital environment to adequately teach its students current methods of measurement and adjustment;.
